A Little Bit About Us

MISSION STATEMENT

The Drumsna Development Company was formed in 1999.

From its start, the company had a dream to create a modern purpose-built community centre – a vibrant hub for the community which would promote, develop and encourage the socio-economic and cultural development of Drumsna and its surrounding towns and townlands. In 2006, that dream became a reality!

It was built by the people for the people!

The building itself is state of the art, modern, spacious and full of natural light.

It is also highly adaptable, flexible and diverse, meeting most of the varied needs of the community on any given day.

Pride of place goes to the Centre’s top-quality kitchen and meal service, offering lunches in a bespoke and comfortable dining area, or delivering freshly cooked, hot nutritional meals direct to our Client’s homes.

Adjacent to it, is the large, restful Daycare Services area where the majority of the Centre’s activities take place. We are proud to host meetings of the Golden Age Group, the ICA and the Tidy Towns committee. We also host Art Classes, Defibrillator Training, Yoga classes, and are fortunate to have several local Traditional Music Lessons & Classes in the centre on a weekly basis. Bingo on Thursday nights continues to be a major social networking event.

Staff members pre-prepare the areas for community groups wishing to use the centre, including setting up the room. Staff also facilitate any additional requests from groups, such as catering. We operate a strict booking calendar for groups who wish to use the facilities for meetings, activities and events.

As well as the Centre’s own dedicated services, a number of other professional service providers operate from the Centre – mostly in our first-floor office suites, which are served by  a lift. Details of these specific services can be found elsewhere on our website.

All enquires can be made through Julie Dockery, our Centre Manager on 071 96 25782 or 087 428 0521.

WE ARE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL FOR OPERATIONAL FUNDING FROM…
